MICHAEL PALLONE
Founder & President
Mike is a Watertown, MA native, graduating from Arlington Catholic High School in 2000 and going on to attend UMass-Boston for Business Administration and History. He founded Wollaston Development, a full-service landscape construction company, in 2011, as the next generation of his lawn maintenance company, Grassmasters Landscaping of Belmont, MA. Prior to that, Mike worked in his family landscaping business for many years before launching his own company and has spent years delivering a tailored client experience.
With over 25+ years of industry experience, Mike has developed meaningful professional and personal relationships with many vendors and industry peers across the region and is constantly seeking innovation to deliver premier customer service and improve Wollaston Development's company culture.
Mike and his wife, Meredith, and their children reside in Medford, MA and are active in their local community.
MEREDITH PALLONE
Owner & CFO
Meredith is a Quincy, MA native and earned a BS in International Business with concentrations in Finance and Spanish from Northeastern University. She is currently pursuing her MBA at Boston College and the CFA charter. She is fluent in Spanish.
She began working with Mike on the transition of Grassmasters Landscaping to Wollaston Development in 2010. With a background in finance, Meredith leads the back office effort and strategic planning for the company.
In her free time, Meredith enjoys spending time with her family and visiting Cape Cod.
JOEY WHITEHOUSE
Director of Operations/Landscape
Maintenance & Installation
Joey was born and raised in Burlington, VT. He began working in the landscape and construction trades at age 16. After graduating high school he moved to Denver, CO where he continued working in construction at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal, a 15,000 acre site that was used during WWII, which Joey helped restore as a beautiful wildlife sanctuary. Joey went on to become a Firefighter/EMT in New Hampshire for five years, during which he continued working in the landscape field. He eventually realized that he enjoyed landscaping more, and went to work for a large national company for seven years where he focused on commercial plant installation, irrigation and snow removal.
Over the years Joey has taken classes in landscape design and layout, irrigation design, equipment operation, snow/ice management, and equipment hauling.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Alison, and their children, golfing, fishing, snowboarding, boating, snowmobiling, and hunting.
DANIELLA MORGANELLI
Client Relation Specialist
Daniella is from Burlington, MA and began working with Wollaston Development 7 years ago as a property manager in several capacities including project management, maintenance contracts and board education & training. She understands what it requires to be a successful vendor for various sized communities and holds a CMCA (Certified Manager of Community Associations) and AMS (Association Management Specialist). She is also an active board member for two condo associations. After leaving the property management industry in 2021, she's back part time at Wollaston Development working with the team to ensure quality control, and providing education and training not only for team members but for boards and managers. She holds a master’s in education and a bachelor’s in psychology.
In addition to working for Wollaston Development, Daniella likes to stay busy, in 2021 she worked with kids as an adjustment counselor in an elementary school. She also has a passion for traveling and manages her own home-based travel agency and runs two vacation rental properties.
ZACHARY KUZMICZ
Assistant Landscape Maintenance / Equipment Maintenance Director
As the newest member, Zachary joined the team in April 2021. An Arlington, MA native and graduate of Arlington High, Zack went on to earn his BA in business at the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology. Zachary come to Wollaston Development, with several years experience as a licensed mechanic. As a veteran of the US Marine Corp. Zachary learned the importance of leadership in developing a strong team - a skill he demonstrates with his crews.
Zachary’s past experience along with his flexibility and quick learning has allowed him to shift and handle many different responsibilities including driving heavy equipment, learning irrigation, masonry and all aspects of landscaping.
Outside of work, Zachary’s greatest interest is car racing and rebuilding his vintage car. He loves spending time with his family and his beloved German Shepherd.
JUAN ESTEBAN VILLAMIL
Assistant Hardscape Masonry
Juan hails from Colombia where he graduated as a chef and joined the team in June 2020. With years of construction and masonry experience, Juan started working with Wollaston Development due to his interest in the field which he got from his father. As a chef Juan learned the importance of leadership and teamwork.
Juan’s past experience along with his flexibility and quick learning has allowed him to shift and handle many different responsibilities at Wollaston Development including learning project management, masonry and all aspects of construction. Outside of work, Juan’s favorite interest is riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family.
